Password Policy Update
Integrity has recently formally updated our password policy “P2010 – Password Protection Policy” with updated password creation standards and guidelines. Please refer to the policy for full details found on Onspring. You can reach out to your local Compliance Officer for assistance obtaining the policy.
As a general reminder, all user level passwords are to be a minimum of 14 characters, using at least 3 of 4 character sets (Upper-case, Lower-case, Numbers, and Special Characters/Symbols) and cannot be a previously used password. Passwords should not be easy to guess and are to be treated as personal property and not be shared under any circumstances.
Integrity Cybersecurity recommends the use of “Passphrases” wherever possible to help create strong, rememberable passwords. For a brief explanation of the differences between a password and a passphrase, as well as how to create a passphrase, Okta has a great article to reference, and that can be found here: https://www.okta.com/identity-101/password-vs-passphrase/
If you have any questions regarding the updated policy, please feel free to reach out to Integrity Cybersecurity.
Thank you,
Integrity Cybersecurity Team
